Ah it was raining a lot today. It's good weather for sleeping in. Of course I have yet to sleep in. Lots of traffic accidents going up to Berkeley. Seems that people in California can't function without sun.

Okay after reading my CT report I think the doctors just screwed up my diagnosis. Meaning that my apendix probably burst Monday night, and then I spent one, two three, four, five, six days with my appendix all exploded-like and infectious.

Oh my. Well at least in chinese culture this means that I'm supposed to have good luck now.

Randomness: but, but I didn't win the lotto! ;_; Ah 28, 000, 000 look how quickly you turn into 36, 000, 000

Okay so I won't be coming back until after spring break, but I will be stopping by on Friday.

Hmm this semester really does suck. I'm really tempted to drop a class just for the heck of it. Haha oh well, at the very least at least my pain level on a scale from a 1-10  is somewhere about a 2. Which would be the equivalent of a

Well I went to a Chinese doctor yesterday and he started yelling about western doctors don't have enough experience and rely too much on tests. He also yelled about the big incision they gave me and said they would never do it that way in China. Now he's just worried about whether my intestines will stick together. And well if that happens. well. oh joy.

In any case, he thinks my appendix burst on Monday (2/14), which would mean that I was running around for 6 days with a burst appendix, and that all the doctors I saw inbetween misdiagnosed me. Haha I bet Alta Bates is afraid of being sued.

But I'm a nice person, and Berkeley is poor.

But give me some A's damn it.

Random fact of the day: And my chinese doctor says I have too much stress...

Hmmm my kitties are fuzzy.

I'm still sore. And I think I'm going back up to Berk next week.

Or until my parents decide to release me from the house.

Although spring break is just around the corner so hmm... is it worth bringing all of my stuff back? I don't know I'll just have to see.

Meh. Time for more studying. Oh joy.

Random Fact of the Day: It took five minutes to download Catherine's email. sad sad sad dial up... ;_;

Hmm, I just went through two weeks of hell.

I figured that this was a good time to blog.

Okay so how did this all start? On Valentine's Day I wake up with this burning, gnawing feeling in my lower abdomen. I thought it was food poisoning (of course from the lovely DC) but I was mistaken.

The pain bothered me so much that Jenny was nice enough to walk me down to the tang center. It was sort of sad that before I had no idea where it was. (Thanks a bunch Jenny ). Anyway after much waiting and poking and prodding they stuck me with an iv (well they messed up the first time) and game me some anti-nausea and some pain medicine. Then they prodded me some more and finally figured that I should go to Alta Bates make sure and see if I had appendicitis or not.

Well I got shipped over in an ambulance. And waited. And waited. And waited. It was a whole lot of waiting you see. And not only that but they spelled my name wrong after getting my birthday wrong. It was all on my insurance card, and they still got it wrong. I didn’t notice until it was too late too x_X. Anyways after a long time I got a CT scan, they claim it was a ruptured ovarian cyst, and I’m shipped home (after freaking out friends and family… sorry…) with a prescription of Vicodin. Mmm painkillers.

Anyway I sleep that night, and have some uncontrollable shivering going on. Thought it was like some side effect from the cyst, but I guess I was wrong about that too. I felt better the next day, and then studied frantically for my Chem. Midterm. Chucked up the liquids I had downed that day, in the afternoon, and felt like crap when I took the test. (But I took it damn it! Give me an A!).

And you know what I think my appendix burst on Wednesday. Went back down to the tang center, and then eventually went home. Spent the rest of the week seeing a doctor a day, combated fevers, and indigestion. Then I finally went to the ER at El Camino did a rather painful CT scan, and they finally diagnosed me with a ruptured appendix.

By that time the infection was pretty bad, something about two abscesses and a whole lot of pus in the lower abdomen. (Thanks to my surgeon for getting that crap out.)

Got my operation done on Monday, (I got staples not stitches). And then spent 6 more days at that hospital. You know its funny how many times my surgeon warned me about getting a scar. Like I really cared at that point?

And now I’m back at home chugging anti-biotic and slowly starting to do some homework on painkillers. (Isn’t that fun!) Haha actually I’m feeling a lot better now, and hopefully I can go back to Berkeley soon. I’m definitely dropping my chem lab though, I can just imagine myself now hobbling around and spilling some HCl all over myself.

Thanks to all friends and family for getting me through this, it helps more than you know. =P

That’s enough for now.
